NightPulse is operated by Night Pulse App ("we", "us", "our"), the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We operate the NightPulse mobile and web application that helps users discover which clubs, bars, nightlife venues and events are active in real time. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

With your permission, we use your device's GPS and approximate location to show nearby venues, calculate live crowd levels, and enable check-in and automatic check-out at venues.
Location is only collected while you use location features. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings. Disabling location limits "near me" and check-in features but you can still browse the app.
When you create an account we collect your email address, display name and authentication details. We use this to secure your account, personalise your experience and communicate with you about the service.
When you check in to a venue or mark planned attendance, we record the venue, timestamp and your association with it to power real-time crowd levels. Aggregated, anonymised attendance may be shown publicly (e.g. "busy now"). Your individual attendance is not shared publicly without your consent.
If you submit an event, we collect the details you provide (event name, venue, date, organiser contact details and any supporting information) to review, approve and publish your listing. Organiser contact details are used only for verification and communication about your submission.
If you claim or manage a venue, we collect business contact and verification details to confirm ownership and provide the Venue Pro dashboard (analytics, event management and listings). Verification documents are used solely to validate your claim.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all payments, billing, tax compliance, invoicing and returns. We do not store your full card details. We retain limited transaction records (amount, date, status, subscription tier) for billing, tax and fraud-prevention purposes. With your consent, we send push notifications about events, venues you follow and account activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
We process your data to provide and improve the service, ensure safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and (with consent) send marketing communications. Our legal bases include consent, contract performance, legitimate interests and legal compliance.
We share data with service providers who help us run NightPulse (hosting, database, authentication, payments and analytics) under contractual data-protection terms. We do not sell your personal data.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). To exercise any right, email privacy@night-pulse.live.
NightPulse is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
